Bradley has met with Worcestershire County Council as he continues to hold them to account over their A38 BREP works.
It’s the second meeting with the County Council this year as the local MP is once again updated on the progress of the project, in addition to the dozens of emails to the County Council on the topic of BREP.
The project was agreed to before Bradley was first elected, and therefore was not able to provide input before spades were put in the ground.
As an MP, Bradley does not have the power to force the County Council to stop or amend BREP, but nevertheless he has continued to raise his constituents’ frustrations and concerns with the project and the disruption its causing.
He has also previously demanded the County Council halts all non-essential roadworks whilst the A38 BREP works are still taking place in order to avoid further congestion and delays for local residents.
Bradley said:
“I promised to continue to hold Worcestershire County Council to account over their A38 BREP Scheme – and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
“These works have caused a lot of disruption, but the County Council has once again assured me that the project is on track to be completed by the end of December 2026 as originally planned.
“I’ve been consistent in my view that BREP must deliver both a noticeable improvement in keeping Bromsgrove moving and in reducing the congestion and gridlock that blights the lives of residents and businesses. The County Council has assured me this will be the case. Time will tell.”
